Riding the Rapids of Change

If you’ve read my previous blogs you’d be aware that I’ve learnt a lot from the channeled teachings of Bashar through Darryl Anka, most of which I do tend to keep to myself, but in this particular teaching I felt compelled to share it with you.

It’s about chaos, and how we can move through it without being swept under. He likens the chaos of life to learning how to ride the rapids of a river.

At first, the rapids feel overwhelming, unpredictable, and even frightening. But when you learn how to balance yourself, how to move with the current instead of against it, something magical happens. The rapids carry you downstream much faster than calm water ever could.

And here’s the thing: those rapids don’t last forever.

Eventually, they empty out into a peaceful, calm stretch of river where everything flows with ease. But to get there, you have to learn the art of riding the turbulence.

Approach your challenges with curiosity, creativity, and calmness

When you approach your challenges with curiosity, creativity, and calmness. You stay in a positive state, even in the midst of chaos, you extract the hidden benefits out of the experience instead of being crushed by it.

This chaos we see around us—systems falling apart, structures breaking down, things unraveling at the seams—it’s not something to fear. It’s the sign of transition. The old cycle is ending, the new one is beginning, and in that space of reorganisation, everything looks messy. But that’s how rebirth works. That’s how humanity resets itself. Earth, after all, is a school of polarities—light and dark, order and chaos, endings and beginnings.

When you can see chaos this way, it becomes a tool instead of a threat. It becomes a signpost that you’re moving through transformation, that new systems and new ways of being are preparing to take root. The invitation is to hold your balance, ride the rapids, and let them carry you to the calm waters more quickly.

So yes, we are in a transition, a reset, and it can feel chaotic. But the truth is—it’s moving us faster to what’s next. And when we can stay grounded, curious, and open, we’ll discover that the river is guiding us exactly where we need to go.

When you understand how to ride the rapids, how to maintain your balance, the rapids will move you downriver much more quickly than you otherwise would go.

  • Approach all your challenges in life with curiosity, creativity, and calmness.

Ultimately it will empty out into a calm river where everything then just flows peacefully, but the idea is to learn to ride the rapids so you can get where you're going much faster.
