Are You Having a Clifftop Moment?
You’ve worked hard, climbed high, built the life you thought you were supposed to want.
On the outside, it all looks fine. Maybe even enviable.
But inside?
Something feels… off. Disconnected. Like there’s this quiet ache no one sees.
And maybe you’ve kept it buried, thinking:
“I should feel grateful.”
“This shouldn’t be a problem.”
“Everyone else thinks I’ve got it together.”
But here’s the truth: You don’t have to fall to break.
You can be standing at the top of everything, and still feel empty inside.
We hear a lot about hitting rock bottom, don’t we? When someone breaks down, loses everything, or just can’t keep it together anymore—the world seems to stop and wrap around them. Friends check in, support lines are called, therapy gets booked. There's space for the pain when it's obvious.
But what about the ones who never actually fell? What about the people who climbed? Who ticked all the boxes, achieved the milestones, built the life they were told would bring happiness… and yet, still feel empty?
That quiet ache that shows up once you’ve done everything right but feel more lost than ever. That’s what I call the Clifftop Moment.
It’s that pause at the top, where you look around and think, “Why does this still not feel like enough?”
You realise then, that you’re just standing in a place most people don’t talk about.
A place where the world thinks you should be thriving, but your soul is whispering, “There’s something deeper calling you.” And the truth is… you’re not alone in this. So many are here, standing at the edge, silently asking the same question: What now?
So, why does this even happen? Why do so many of us find ourselves in this strange space of having everything we thought we wanted, but still feeling like something’s missing?
Honestly, it’s because we’ve spent years building a life around expectations. Expectations of who we should be, how we should act, what we should strive for. We’ve chased the version of success that was handed to us—degrees, promotions, partnerships, houses with matching cushions—and somewhere in all that noise, we stopped asking the most important questions: What do I actually want? Who even am I without all of this “stuff” around me?
That hollow feeling you’ve been trying to shake? It’s not failure. It’s not that you’re broken or ungrateful. It’s your soul trying to get your attention. A gentle nudge. A whisper saying, “Hey, stop reaching out there... and come back in here.” It’s not about climbing higher anymore. It’s about coming home to yourself. And that? That’s where the real fulfilment lives.
You’re not broken, my love—you’re just disconnected.
And that feeling you can’t quite shake? It’s not something to fear or fix.
It’s an invitation.
A soft, sacred nudge asking you to slow down, take a breath, and come back to yourself. To remember who you were before the titles, the roles, the striving, the high expectations, the external successes, and all the pressure to keep pushing forward, to keep pushing higher.
Especially now, in a world that seems to keep speeding up—more noise, more distractions, more doing—it’s no wonder your soul is asking for something different.
This is your call to pause. To rest. To reflect. To hibernate a little if you need to. You don’t need another achievement, another milestone, or another box ticked to prove your worth.
You need stillness. You need honesty. You need space to just be. And more than anything… you need you. The real you. The one who’s been patiently waiting underneath it all, hoping you’ll finally turn inward and say, “There you are.”
So what can you actually do when you’re standing at the clifftop, feeling this way?
First, take a deep breath.
Let’s keep this simple. Let’s keep it gentle.
You’ve already done the hard work of doing for everyone else, for the world, for the version of life you were told to chase. Now it’s time to shift into being. This is your moment to start reconnecting, not by overhauling your life overnight, but by quietly turning inward. Begin by acknowledging how you truly feel. Stop brushing it off or covering it with busyness.
Give yourself full permission to say, “This isn’t it. All of this, everything I’ve built, achieved, or collected, it isn’t filling the space within me. And that’s okay. I am worthy of more—not more stuff, but a deeper sense of self.
I give myself permission to slow down. To step out of the busyness. To stop performing.
I give myself permission to just be me… to reconnect with my inner truth, my guidance, my joy, and the passion that’s been waiting patiently beneath the noise.”
Then carve out a small space each day—even ten minutes—to just sit in stillness. Journal. Breathe. Ask yourself, “What actually feels like me?” not what looks good or sounds impressive. Let go of the performance. You don’t need to prove your worth to anyone. You are already enough. And instead of pushing harder, start paying attention to what lights you up on the inside. What feels peaceful, natural, joyful. Not for anyone else’s approval, but because it speaks to you.
Let this season of winter be your teacher. Pause. Rest. Reset. You’re allowed to slow down long enough to hear your own truth again.
And here it is—your a-ha moment, the one that might land somewhere deep in your chest and make everything suddenly make sense. What you’ve been missing this whole time… it was never out there. It was never in the job title, the pay rise, the next big holiday, or the perfect partner. Those things might have brought temporary joy, sure, but the real thing you’ve been searching for? It’s always been you.
The you beneath the layers, the masks, the pressure to keep achieving. The version of you who’s been quietly whispering beneath the noise, “I miss you.” And the only way back to you isn’t through doing more, it’s through slowing down enough to listen. It’s through turning inward. You don’t need to climb anymore. You don’t need to keep chasing the next thing.
What you need… is to come home to yourself.
That’s where the clarity lives.
That’s where the peace begins.
That’s where the light you’ve been missing is waiting….
If this stirred something in you, if you found yourself nodding along or feeling that lump in your throat because, deep down, you know you’re standing at the top of that cliff.
Please know, you’re not alone.
I see you. I’ve been there too. And if you feel ready to take that first step inward, to explore what’s really calling you from within, I’d be honoured to walk beside you. Whether it’s through a soul reading, an energy assessment session, or even a gentle discovery call to chat things through, there’s space here for you to land, to breathe, and to reconnect with the light that’s always been within you.
When you're ready… I’m here.
Love & Light
